CIWF is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1995. Our motto “Women making a Difference” reflects our goal of making a positive impact and growth in our own lives, in the lives of our fellow members and in the lives of the women of our community. The CIWF has made an average $10,000+ scholarship award annually to Avalon High School senior ladies for over 20 consecutive years! A recent scholarship sponsorship for young women pursuing STEM degrees was created by local utility provider Edison International. An annual Wine Festival every September is the highlight of fundraising efforts that produce the balance of the funds for educational scholarships. Other areas in which the Forum supports the community include funding women’s wellness programming, domestic violence prevention resource dissemination, and a mentoring program for high school girls living on Catalina.

Island Style Wine Tasting and Silent Auction
Held in concert with the annual weekend-long Art Festival, enjoy wine tasting, appetizers and soothing live music where the sand meets the sea on South Beach, Avalon Bay. Additionally, there will be a silent auction for fundraising excitement.
