To create solutions for women’s issues in our community. To promote the physical, mental, professional, and business growth of Catalina women, emphasizing the strengths and skills each member brings to the organization by concentrating available resources.
One of our goals is to provide information and emotional assistance to abused women and children in Avalon through our Domestic Abuse Intervention Program. We are also involved in a Student Mentoring & Scholarship Program in which members provide guidance to and act as role models for young women, demonstrating by example the wide range of life and career options available to them.
Meetings are at 5:30pm on the 1st Monday of the month to discuss the evolving agenda and usually include a fun, adventurous, or philanthropic activity. The Women’s Forum is an open organization and no sponsorship is needed. Membership can manifest in several ways; including cash donations or volunteer hours.
Annual dues collected in January are $96 (that breaks down to only $8/month). However, there is a membership assistance fund which remains confidential for anyone who cannot afford it, but has the most valuable thing we need… volunteer hours! Contact us now to come share in our next fun meeting and see if this is the right time for you to join the CIWF!
CIWF is a nonprofit corporation. Our motto “Women making a Difference” reflects our goal of making a positive impact and growth in our own lives, in the lives of our fellow members and in the lives of the women of our community. 501.(c)3 #33-0676803
