The Catalina Island Women’s Forum (CIWF) wants to thank all the folks who supported our efforts and bought a raffle ticket!  With the conclusion of this school year the Forum was able to award $16,000 in scholarships, honoring 12 different students on their way to college.  Your contributions are so greatly appreciated.  To continue or join in support of our Mission, the 2017 Wine Festival is just around the corner September 16th.   Be a sponsor, help us advertise, or participate in the fun and bring your friends!  See our site for more www.catalinawinefest.com

The CIWF has just concluded their big trip raffle, one of two annual scholarship drives championed by its membership.  A total of 206 tickets were sold and over $7000 was raised to support scholarships and the mentoring program for the junior and senior ladies of Avalon High School.  Winners were drawn at the City Hall conference room June 27 at 5:50pm.  PRIZES: A two night stay at the Aurora Hotel went to Yolanda Montano, a 4 hour Conservancy Jeep EcoTour went to Eric Cedarwall, and the Grand Prize, a $3000 credit towards a build your own vacation, was awarded to local teacher Laura Vandezande!
